When you first create a Market Segment element, the corresponding icon menu only has two menu items for data:

Details shows the ‘top-level’ dialog for the Market Segment, with fields for the Unit label and Size time-series inputs; the Size time-series button can be accessed from here

User Data shows the user-defined inputs.
However, there is an additional field in the Market Segment dialog which shows a list of associated Services. This will be empty when you first create the Market Segment, but will be updated automatically whenever you link Services to the Market Segment, as described above. You can also insert Services into this list directly if you want to control the order in which the Services are displayed:
- Select the Details field within the Market Segment dialog, and click in the list at the position you would like to insert the Service.
- Select Insert Element into List… from the dialog Edit menu. If there are no Services in the model, other than those already associated with this Market Segment, one will be created immediately. Otherwise the Insert Service dialog will be displayed.

Note: You can insert Services at the end of the list directly by double-clicking on the ‐‐ end of list ‐‐ marker.
- Select one of the existing Services; or
<new Service>, if you wish to create one.
- Double-click on the selected Service, click OK, or press <Enter> to insert the Service into the list. You will see the corresponding link appear between the respective icons for the Service and Market Segment.
You can also use the dialog Edit menu to remove Services from the list, or rename them (equivalent to renaming the Services separately, from their icons).
Using the extended Market Segment menu to edit Service data
When a Market Segment is associated with a number of Services, the icon menu for the Market Segment is extended to show all the usual Service data items.
When you select, e.g., Demand , a tabular dialog appears showing Demand data side-by-side for each of the Services associated with the Market Segment. The fact that all other Services in the model are excluded makes it easier to compare the data.
If you associate further Services with this Market Segment, the tabular dialog will automatically expand to show the corresponding data. Services added from the toolbar or via drag-and-drop will be added to the end of the table, whilst those inserted in the list from the Market Segment dialog will appear in order.

Inserting a Service directly into a tabular dialog for a Market Segment
You can also insert Services directly into one of these tables:
- Select Insert Element… from the tabular-dialog Edit menu. If there are no Services in the model, other than those elements already associated with this Market Segment, one will be created immediately. Otherwise the Insert Service dialog will be displayed, as described above.
- Select one of the existing Services; or <new Service>, if you wish to create one.
- Double-click on the selected Service, click OK, or press <Enter> to insert the Service into the list. A column for the new Service is inserted into the table, the Market Segment Services list is updated and again you will see the corresponding link appear between the respective icons for the Service and Market Segment.
Note: By default the new Service will be inserted at the current column in the table. Hold down the <Shift> key if you want to insert the Service after the current column – this is the only way to append a Service to the table.
Again you can use the tabular-dialog Edit menu to remove Services from the table, or rename them (equivalent to renaming the Services separately). Tabular dialogs for the Service data associated with a Market Segment will always be kept in step with the list of Services and the corresponding links between the icons for the Market Segment and the associated Services.
Note: When editing data for a Market Segment you may find it useful to move from one tabular dialog to another via the dialog Move menu, rather than having to return to the icon menu – see 4.5.1 Accessing data dialogs.
